Reading thoughtfully
When an AI explanation and the displayed chart disagree
When an AI explanation names a placement that differs from the displayed chart, stop at the disagreement. Choosing whichever version sounds more convincing does not identify the correct one. The conflict may involve context selection, settings, stale display, generation or another issue. Without evidence, a unique cause should not be announced. Preserve the narrow mismatch and investigate the relevant layer.

Capture the two conflicting statements
Use a fictional example: the visible result labels a body in one sign while the generated paragraph names another. Record the exact labels and the selected result type. Do not publish the person's full chart or birth record just to demonstrate one sentence. A cropped, redacted view and a concise description may be sufficient for an initial report.
Check whether the paragraph refers to the same profile and date as the display. A natal placement and a transit placement answer different questions. If the scopes differ, the explanation needs clarification even if both individual values could be valid within their own contexts. Do not silently merge them into a single reading.
Distinguish calculation checks from text checks
If the source calculation is in question, compare it using the actual inputs, frame, time conventions and settings. If the calculation is confirmed but the paragraph names the wrong value, the explanation remains incorrect. Repeating a prompt may produce different wording without proving that the underlying issue has been fixed.
NIST identifies confabulation as a generative-AI risk. That supports caution about confident text, not a diagnosis of this particular incident. The model's own explanation of why it erred is also generated content; it should not be accepted as a technical root-cause report without independent evidence.
Resume only within the verified scope
A useful correction identifies the mistaken claim, the evidence used to correct it and the affected interpretation. If only one field has been checked, do not announce that the entire chart, conversation or system has been certified. Keep any unresolved profile or date ambiguity visible.
For an ordinary reader, the practical next step is to set aside the disputed interpretation and report the mismatch through the appropriate channel. Do not alter birth data, purchase another reading or make a consequential decision to resolve the tension. A reliable repair is demonstrated by the correct selected context and a matching explanation under a fresh observation. Polished language, an apology or a successful response on an unrelated question does not by itself supply that evidence.
Astrological interpretations are for reflection, not a diagnosis, a guaranteed prediction or a substitute for professional advice. Journal guides are prepared with AI assistance; they are educational content, not individual consultations.
